We were appointed following the client’s unsuccessful planning application for an earlier scheme. Our approach, won on appeal, proposed 11 residential units, arranged either side of a a lift and stair core. The building responds to the topography of the site, gently stepping up the hill. An interplay of brick, render and glazed planes articulate the form of the building in its woodland setting, and windows incorporate louvred shutters as opening vents.
A mix of one and two bed flats terminate in two duplex units at roof level, incorporating double height spaces clad with cedar boarding. Roof terraces provide views over the golf course opposite. materials include light self-coloured render and cedar boarding.
