Appointed by the Scout Association to reconfigure their flagship headquarters building, Baden Powell House in Kensington. Baden Powell House provides a combination of educational facilities, cafe and dining facilities as well as a hostel run by a private provider.

Our proposals seek to create separate entrances for hostel and educational components, and create better connections between the ground floor and first floor cafe/dining areas. A new entrance is proposed on Cromwell Road articulated with a new canopy, providing shelter to a new ramp and flight of steps, echoing the mid century concrete aesthetic. Internally, a new lift provides dedicated access to the educational suites, whilst the new stair links the ground floor cafe to the first floor dining.
